Two new interesting and entertaining shows were visited on this trip. . .

   1. The Miracle at the Miracle Theater, Pigeon Forge

         (formerly Louise Mandrell Theater)

The Miracle in Pigeon Forge, TN is a stunning musical recreation of the life of Christ told in epic proportion. Featuring an enormous cast of actors, singers, dancers, technicians, and live animals, you will be awed by the magnificence of this performance. From centurion soldiers on horseback to majestic kings on camels, the huge scope of the production is amazing. The curtains will rise with the dawning of creation, as the fingerprint of Christ is illustrated throughout the Old Testament. See angels flying overhead proclaiming His Birth. Feel the wind and the rain as Jesus calms the sea. Witness the glory of His spectacular ascension. Personal note:

I really enjoyed the Miracle on  October 25, 2006. It began with  God's creation of the world followed by Adam and Eve, the birth of Jesus, his baptism, his miracles, sermon on the mount, trial, crucifixion,  resurrection and ascension. The music and dancing was so professional and extremely well done.  They should take this to Broadway! They had live "angels" flying around and live animals -- sheep, camels, snake, donkeys, and horses were used. Just before the crucifixion, two Roman soldiers came riding down the aisle on huge white real horses. To me the most powerful scenes were the encounters between Jesus and Lucifer, the fallen angel and agent of Satan. The man who played Lucifer did an outstanding job of singing and acting.  So did the man who played Jesus.

This production was well worth the trip.  -- Bettye
